Bridgewater acted as sell side advisors to leading
indigenous petroleum company, Woodfields Energy Resources Limited on the sale
of its interest in Access Bank Ghana PLC in execution of its current portfolio strategy.
Woodfields Energy, formerly known as Cirrus Energy Services
Limited, was established twenty-three (23) ago, to supply and distribute bulk
petroleum products and oils to Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) across the
country.
Woodfields owns The Petroleum Hub Ltd, a 102,500mt capacity
tank farm which consists of a 50,000mt gasoil storage capacity, 40,000mt gasoline
storage facility, and 12,500mt ATK tank; and Cirrus Oil Services Ltd (“Cirrus”),
one of the first wholly owned Ghanaian companies to construct and operate the state-of-the-art
storage terminals in Tema and Takoradi for the distribution of Gasoil, ATK, Gasoline
95 and Gasoline 91.
